Youtube on Fast Learning Curve
Youtube is one my favorite sites, I'm sure it may be one of your favorite sites as well. I came across a video earlier today which featured one of the co-founders of the largest internet video hosting site and he explained how they have dealt with copyrigh t issues, in particular, Viacom. Viacom and YouTube were engaged in a major copyright battle for months over the 'illegal' use of copyrighted material which was being uploaded on to the site. You and I both know just how easy it is to upload any old video on to YouTube within the click of a button so copyrighted material is bound to happen. After watching the video which I have enclosed in the resource box, you can understand what the train of thought of YouTube actually is. They see YouTube as a platform for advertising and instead of trying to battle with numerous companies over copyright they would rather join forces and reach the consumer easier.
